General Data Protection Regulation
The new GDPR establishes rules regarding the processing—by an individual, company, or organization—of personal data concerning people in the European Union (EU).
The GDPR protects personal data regardless of the technology used for processing; this protection is technology-neutral and applies to both automated and manual processing, provided the data is organized according to predefined criteria (e.g., alphabetically). The method of data storage—whether in a computer system, via video surveillance, or on paper—is also irrelevant; in all these cases, personal data is subject to the protection requirements set out in the GDPR.
Who is responsible for data processing?
JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. is responsible for the processing of personal data under the GDPR.
Processing of personal data, scope, and amendment of the Privacy Policy
By providing their personal data to JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A., the data subject consents to the processing of such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to data directly provided by the respective data subject or collected when the data subject accesses the digital platforms and services of JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A.

What type of information does JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. collect?
JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. collects two types of information: personal information and anonymous information. For how long does JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. process and retain your personal data?
JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. processes and retains your personal data in accordance with the purposes for which they are processed and only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes that motivated their collection and retention—and always in compliance with the law and the guidelines and decisions of the CNPD—or, as applicable, until you exercise your right to object, your right to be forgotten, or withdraw your consent.
There are situations in which the law mandates the retention of data for a minimum period, specifically: traffic and location data for one year for the purposes of investigating, detecting, and prosecuting serious crimes, or data required for reporting to the Tax Authority for ten years.
Upon the expiration of the applicable retention period, JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. will delete or anonymize the data, provided that the data need not be retained for a different purpose that may still apply.
Rights of the personal data subject
The personal data subject has the right to information, access, and rectification or erasure of personal data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to restrict or object to the processing of their data, within the scope and under the terms of the GDPR and other applicable legislation.
The data subject may, at any time, withdraw the consent given for the processing of their personal data under the GDPR. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data carried out up to that point based on the consent previously provided.

The exercise of rights is free of charge, except in the case of a manifestly unfounded, excessive, or unjustifiably repetitive request, in which case a reasonable fee based on costs may be charged.
A response to requests must be provided without undue delay and within one month of receipt of the request, unless the request is particularly complex or arises in exceptional circumstances. This period may be extended by up to two months where necessary, taking into account the complexity of the request and the number of requests received.
In connection with your request, you may be asked to provide proof of your identity to ensure that personal data is shared only with the data subject.
Transmission of personal data
The data may be transmitted to entities to which the data must be disclosed by law, such as the Tax Authority, judicial authorities, and criminal police bodies, among others.
Responsibility for digital platforms and services of JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. and third parties
JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. is not responsible for content accessed via any link that directs the personal data subject away from JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A.’s digital platforms, nor for the processing of personal data carried out on such sites, whenever those links are the responsibility of third parties. Third-party websites and content are not covered by this Privacy Policy; therefore, we advise you to locate and read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions whenever you browse such sites.
What security procedures ensure the protection of your data?
JOVAGRO – Produtos Agrícolas, S.A. takes all necessary and legally required precautions to ensure the privacy of personal data processed and/or transmitted via its digital platforms. These precautions guarantee the online and offline security of such information.
Whenever sensitive information is collected or used, the data will be encrypted using the SSL protocol. This technology, known as Secure Socket Layer, is used to enhance the security of data transmission over the Internet by encrypting and protecting data and sensitive information via the HTTPS protocol. SSL assures the personal data subject that the data will not be fraudulently intercepted and that all information is handled with the utmost security.
