Jaws

Contact herbicide
Jaws is a contact herbicide based on carfentrazone-ethyl, an active substance belonging to the triazolinone chemical group. It is applied post-emergence for the control of broadleaf weeds.
Its mode of action is based on inhibition of the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), leading to disruption of photosynthesis and rapid desiccation of leaf tissues.
Jaws is indicated for use in perennial crops, including plum, hazelnut, citrus, apple, olive, pear, peach, kiwifruit and grapevine, as well as on woody shrubs and trees in nurseries and in non-cultivated areas and transport infrastructure.
It is also used for sucker control in the above crops and as a haulm desiccant in potatoes, acting on both leaves and stems.
