Proradix
Microbial product based on Pseudomonas sp. DSMZ 13134
Proradix is a microbial formulation based on Pseudomonas sp. DSMZ 13134, developed to help suppress soil-borne pathogens, particularly Rhizoctonia solani and Helminthosporium solani in potato, as well as Fusarium spp. and Rhizoctonia spp. in other vegetable crops.
The bacterium rapidly colonises the rhizosphere ahead of pathogenic microorganisms, forming a protective biofilm that restricts the availability of space and nutrients required for pathogen establishment and development.
Proradix also produces chitinolytic enzymes (chitinases) capable of degrading structural components of fungal cell walls, thereby contributing to its antagonistic activity against soil-borne pathogens.
In addition, Proradix promotes the activation of systemic acquired resistance (SAR) and induced systemic resistance (ISR), priming the plant for a faster and more effective defence response against pathogens and abiotic stress.
Its plant growth-promoting activity also supports root development through the production of phytohormone-like compounds, including auxin-, cytokinin- and ethylene-related substances.
